After we received some new fancy folding screens for our shop i started thinking about how they are used in usual interior design practice.

Invented in 8th-century Japan to block
drafts and carve out spaces in open-plan houses now they can be used for the same purpose but more often and more obvious is using folding screens for beautification of ugly room corners.
At the same time, folding screens offer a possibility to add architecture, history, color and pattern. They can become even a focus point as in that beautiful artsy flat of collector in Paris (above)!
Next screen i personally like a lot because it gives an extra charm and very nice delicate versatile background for the pieces in front. Frankly speaking, i love that room for all its bright and chic atmosphere.
